Care Guide
An important note when storing your jewellery in the warmer summer months. Flash Jewellery recommends storing your jewellery out and away from the pouch to ensure airflow. Store your pieces in a bowl, or in the box with the lid off to avoid the oxidisation process.
All Flash Jewellery is handmade by skilled artisans. This means every piece is unique and delicate and no two pieces are the same.
Flash Jewellery is made of high-quality recycled sterling silver with a thick 14k or 18k gold overlay (Vermeil) and contains no nickel.
Their Vermeil jewellery is made to be lived in and worn every day. To prolong the life of your jewellery we recommend the following.
Protect items from water, humidity, steam and chemicals.
Tarnishing & discolouration is caused by the oxidization process which occurs when metal is in contact with air and acids through handling & moisture.
Take your jewellery off prior to exercise, showering, washing your hands and swimming. Saltwater is the enemy.
Avoid contact with cosmetics, hair products and perfume.
Store your jewellery in the box provided and in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight.
Clean vermeil items with a soft cloth & never use silver polish or metal cleaners. Sterling silver jewellery is best cleaned with a professional product, follow the manufacturer instructions carefully.
Look after gemstones these are delicate and may chip.
Gently wipe pearls with a soft cloth to remove body oils or dirt before storing and keep away from objects that may scratch the surface.
All metals will naturally soften, fade and oxidise with time and will require maintenance.
