Daybreak Smoothie

Serves 2.

This is the perfect green smoothie that isn’t too... you know, green tasting! With sustenance from protein rich hemp seeds and almond butter it will keep you going from daybreak to lunchtime.

Gather —

2 frozen bananas
2 large handfuls of baby spinach
1/2 avocado, pit removed
1 medjool date, seed removed
1 heaped tbsp almond butter
1 tbsp hemp seeds
1/2 cup ice
1 1/2 cups almond & coconut milk 

 

Make —

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender, adding a little more milk if you prefer a thinner smoothie.
  2. Serve in glass tumblers with an extra sprinkle of hemp seeds.
